Hello everyone,my name is Shahe and My friend was down in Arizona recently and found a Arizona Alligator lizard and ended up giving him to me. I have him set up in a 20 Gallon long with a thick branch and some fake plants with paper towels as sub, and a couple hides. Most the time he is in the fake plants or the branch. He stayed in one hide after setup for about 3 or 4 days.
Just now starting to come out explore eat in front of me all the fun stuff. I have a Repti-Sun 5.0 tube above him as well as a regular 30Watt housebulb for basking. Temps are around 80F-85F and under the lamp its around 90F. The room has 50% humidity or close to it most of the day because I also keep a Chameleon in this room and have a humidifier runnning most of the day. I give him light mistings about 2x a day. I have been feeding him Dubia raoch babies and small sub-adults. . .he goes nuts for these things now as soon as they hit the floor he is on them.
Has to be on of the coolest looking and feeling lizards I have ever owned. With the tounge and blinks it is like a little mini monitor lizard. Where can I find a couple more without having to go down to Arizona look for them?
Thanks,
Shahe
